Chickens make themselves at home!

After their summer holiday, four of the chicks have returned to school ready for the new term! They love their new home and have been settling in extremely well as you can see from the pictures above and below.

Sprowston's Got Talent

We were all entertained by a variety of acts in the Sprowston's Got Talent finals recently. All the acts performed well with some wonderful musical perfomances, singing, dancing and comedy from children across all year groups.
The winner will be announced in assembly tomorrow but they were all winners for showing confidence and performing in front of the whole school.

Puppets 'r' us

Year 4 had a great afternoon at the puppet theatre performing their puppet shows. Thanks to Norwich Puppet Theatre and to all the parents that came along to watch!

Chick update!

As you can see from the photos the rest of the chicks have hatched and they are making quite a collective noise in the entrance hall!  A couple of them even made an appearance in assembly this morning. All but one of the eggs hatched and the children are excited about having them in school. Keep looking at the blog to see more pictures of the chicks as they develop.

The Chicks are hatching!

The first Pekin Bantum arrived this morning-breaking free from its shell and making an appearance in the world. Hopefully over the next few days all of the chicks will hatch. The children certainly enjoyed watching the transformation from egg to chick and will be checking regularly over the next few days I'm sure!

Action for Greyhounds

We heard from the charity 'Action for Greyhounds' in assembly today. The children enjoyed having the dogs in school and hearing about how the charity works to protect greyhounds who are mistreated and no longer wanted. The children certainly made them feel welcome at Sprowston Junior!

Family Week

We have had an excellent start to family week. The Year 3 children and their parents enjoyed Year 3 Cream Teas whilst the  Year 3/4 children really enjoyed the fun run with many parents joining in! 

It's great to see so many parents supporting the week with plenty more fun to come!
